About Us

The Dolphin-Laser’s have a rich history of  swimming excellence. The Dolphins were founded in 1967 at the Little Rock Racquet Club and the Lasers were founded in 1992 at the Little Rock Athletic Club.  In 2007 they merged to become one of the largest and fastest teams in Arkansas. In the 90's they added training sites in Jacksonville, Sherwood and UALR. In  2009 they added a training site in Cabot. The team has over a 40 year tradition of providing quality competitive swimming  to the State of Arkansas. Swimmers have ranked from State Champions to Olympic Gold Medalist.  Besides our swimmers’ accomplishments in the pool, we are proud of their academic performances and community service.  The team has won may State Championship Titles and State High Point winners over the years. 

The team is a year-round competitive swim program serving the state of Arkansas. The Dolphin-Lasers are members of the local organization Arkansas Swimming Inc. (ASI) and of the national organization United States Swimming (USAS). The Dolphin-Lasers offer opportunities for improvement and achievement for every level of swimmer, from beginners to national level competition. We have six training location and three satellite divisions. We have just at 400 athletes and 10 professional coaches. Swimmers participate in our progressive training program from our Developmental 1 level to our Masters Training Program.

To provide an environment that allows an athlete to seek swimming excellence and to seek one's highest potential.  To use the competitive swimming environment to teach positive healthy life skills that athletes will use through their lifetime.

The Dolphin-Laser Booster Association is a non-profit organization composed of all families on the team.  The Association has been created to support the needs of the Dolphin-Laser Swim Team.

The Dolphin-Laser Association is run by a board consisting of parent volunteers and coaches. The Association raises money to pay for all swim team expenses except for payroll and pool rental of LRAC and LRRC

The expenses include the following: pool rental of UALR, Jacksonville, & Sherwood, coaches’ travel and meet expenses, swimmers & coaches apparel, training equipment,  banquet awards, administrative expenses, awards for meets, running the summer league program, Team Unify web site fees, motivational events and awards, social expenses, supplemental payroll, coaches education, certifications, & background checks, officials USS registration & background check, teams yearly USS fees, swim meet expenses & sanctions, & insurance dues. The Association may have additional expenses depending upon needs.
