The Dolphin-Lasers were well represented this year at the Arkansas Swimming Hall of Fame Banquet held in Little Rock on Aril 24th.

This year two outstanding people were inducted into the

Arkansas Swimming Hall of Fame:

Besides Swimmer of the year the following Dolphin-Lasers were recognized for their outstanding results in Distant Swimming:

 

Tim Barnett for the Age Group Heil Mile Award

Jessie Garrison for the Age Group Heil Mile Award

Chris Jacobsen for the Senior Division Heil Mile Award

 

Two of our adults won the following awards:

Jeff Bish as the Connoco Phillips Volunteer of the Year Award

And Tay Stratton as the Arkansas Coach of the Year Award

 

One of the highest recognitions of the night went to:

Jessie Garrison: as the Overall Arkansas Female Swimmer of the Year

 

Congratulations to our two inductees and all our athletes for all of their great accomplishments.

ABOUT THE DOLPHIN-LASERS

The Dolphin-Laser’s have a rich history of swimming excellence. The Dolphins were founded in 1967 and the Lasers were founded in 1992. The team has over a 50 year tradition of providing quality competitive swimming to the State of Arkansas. Swimmers have ranked from State Champions to Olympic Gold Medalist. The Dolphin-Lasers offer opportunity and achievement for every level of swimmer, from beginners to national level competition.

Our Goals: To be a good person; To swim fast; To have fun, have helped many of our Central Arkansas Youth become strong leaders of today. We also have a Masters swim program for age 19 and up that offers great comaradery, motivation, and fun with their peers either training for fitness, triathlons, or masters competitions. Besides our swimmers’ accomplishments in the pool, we are proud of their academic performances and community service. Most of our graduating seniors have been awarded athletic and/or scholastic scholarships.
